WOMEN'S TEAM

2014 saw the introduction of a group of dedicated ladies to the Wimbledon Hawks, for training and social outings. In 2015 the "Hawkettes" narrowly missed out on the flag being beaten in the inaugural AFL London Women's Grand Final. In 2016,the lasses hit back bigger, stronger and louder and took that flag, and had heaps of fun along the way. 2022 saw the team lift the Women's conference title.

The girls are now in their 7th season.

With a healthy mix of experienced Australians and newcomers from all over Europe, the Hawkettes have built an inclusive culture, with a focus on togetherness and perfecting the game of footy... with all the travelling, socialising and shenanigans thrown in!

"Over the four years I lived in London, the best decision I made was to join the Hawks. They are more than just a sports club, they become your family. The memories I made are priceless and I will always Cherish. Be it causing mayhem on a beer-bike in Amsterdam wearing stupid hats, knocking Jason to the floor during a Hurricane Katrina, smashing the other teams in a boat race on ladies day or just every single game I played where I was surrounded by the best teammates you could wish for. Hawks will always be in my heart #carrrrrrrrnbrownandgold!"
