First Wednesday drinks are back on the menu in a big way. The drinks nights are a great way to keep the boys together over the off season as well as welcome new players down to the club. Having that support network and getting to meet some new guys are just two good, but unnecessary reasons for having a beer. Certainly December’s drinks were a little too successful, with many toasts being offered as the boys welcomed a couple of new faces to the club.
The drinks will continue into Jan and Feb on the first Wednesday, so send us an email, keep posted on locations in the South West of London and come down for a beer and meet the team. |

After a great AGM, it was vital that the newly appointed committee capitalise on the excitement of the club and begin setting out various initiatives which needed to be developed.
The first committee meeting certainly demonstrated the potential for season 2010 with some fantastic thoughts being carried through to action.
Apart from setting out a solid base with the President, Secretary and Treasurer continuing their great work, the social committee presented on a number of ideas for some fantastic (and some... interesting...) ideas for social nights in 2010...

My name is Mark 'Choco' Williams; I am the Wimbledon Hawks Senior Coach for the 2010 season.
There is definitely a good buzz about the club after the pre-season AGM, with some great initiatives being carried out. Despite the exodus of Aussies from London of late, we have had good retention of senior players and a fantastic squad of European players. With a few sparkling recruits lined up for 2010, it’s shaping up to be an exciting season...
